TAITRA representatives mark the official opening of Taiwan Expo 2025 in the Philippines, celebrating stronger ties and opportunities for bilateral cooperation.
MANILA, Philippines — Manila will once again serve as a meeting point for Taiwanese technology and Philippine market opportunities as Taiwan Expo 2026 brings more than 125 Taiwanese companies to the SMX Convention Center from September 17 to 19.
The exhibition follows its 2025 edition, which generated US$53.4 million in business opportunities and attracted more than 10,000 buyers, underscoring the growing commercial potential between the two markets.
This year’s expo places particular emphasis on technologies addressing energy resilience, sustainability, industrial modernization, agriculture, healthcare, and intelligent infrastructure.
The Green & Innovation Showcase will feature battery energy storage systems and hydrogen microgrids designed for island and off-grid applications—technologies with potential relevance to an archipelagic nation seeking greater energy resilience.
Green building insulation, AI-enabled waste sorting systems, and biodegradable plant-based drinking straws will also be showcased.
The Intelligent Technology Pavilion will examine the digital infrastructure supporting modern enterprises, with exhibitors presenting AIoT, edge computing, cybersecurity, collaborative robotics, and warehouse safety systems.
Agricultural modernization will be addressed through autonomous mobile robots and smart livestock environmental controls, while the Agritech & Food Pavilion will also present Taiwanese orchids, high-mountain teas, and specialty foods.

Healthcare innovation will feature biotech skincare, functional bio-electro devices, anti-counterfeiting technology, and professional medical supplies.
The expo’s Premium Lifestyle Pavilion will complement the technology-focused sections with products spanning sustainable consumer goods, electric vehicle safety equipment, digital storage, smart accessories, and precision household components.
James C. F. Huang, Chairman of TAITRA, said the organization is looking beyond conventional trade relationships.
“This year we want to build on that through joint ventures, licensing, and local assembly,” Huang said, referring to the opportunities generated by the 2025 expo.
Taiwan and the Philippines recorded US$6.71 billion in bilateral goods trade in 2024, while trade grew 8.5 percent during the first seven months of 2025.
Organized by the Taiwan International Trade Administration under Taiwan’s Ministry of Economic Affairs and implemented by TAITRA, Taiwan Expo 2026 seeks to transform commercial introductions into deeper technology and investment partnerships.
Industry leaders and professionals interested in the next generation of energy, technology, sustainability, healthcare, and intelligent infrastructure can experience these innovations at Taiwan Expo 2026, happening September 17–19 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
