Manila, Philippines — A statement watch does not always have to be loud. G-SHOCK’s new Luxe Black 2100 collection makes its case through restraint, combining the brand’s unmistakable durability with a more sophisticated take on its iconic octagonal design.
The four-piece collection is now available at G-SHOCK stores and authorized dealers nationwide, as well as through the CASIO G-SHOCK website, Shopee, TikTok, Lazada and Zalora.
Luxe Black arrives as quiet luxury continues to influence fashion and lifestyle choices, shifting attention from conspicuous status symbols toward versatility, quality and thoughtful design.
For G-SHOCK, that means expressing toughness through material, texture and finish rather than visual volume.
“More than just an aesthetic, quiet luxury is a mindset, and Luxe Black is G-SHOCK’s answer to it,” said Sena Kuroda, Regional Sales Manager of the Timepieces Division at CASIO South East Asia. “We’re keeping the durability the brand has always been built on, but expressing it through material and finish instead of visual volume. It’s a sign of where G-SHOCK is headed: toughness that can flex with how people actually want to dress, not just one fixed look.”
The Luxe Black treatment keeps the recognizable 2100 foundation while refining its appearance. Matte black dials and reduced reflections create a more subdued base, while redesigned hands, indexes and metallic accents add dimension.
For the modern wearer, the monochromatic approach makes the watches easy to style across different settings, from casual days to more elevated occasions.
The collection includes two metal-bezel models: the GM-2100LXB-1A (₱17,010) and GM-2100LXB-1A9 (₱15,710). Both feature hairline-finished metal bezels with black ion plating and matte black dials, with silver- or gold-toned details adding contrast.
The GA-2100LXB-1A (₱9,430) and GA-2100LXB-1A9 (₱9,430) offer a lighter alternative with matte-finished octagonal bezels and bands, metallic vapor-deposited indexes and lightweight resin construction.
Across the collection, functionality remains unchanged. The models feature shock resistance, 20-bar water resistance, stopwatch and timer functions, world time across 48 cities, Hand Shift, double LED Super Illuminator lighting and up to five daily alarms.
Bio-based resin is incorporated into key bezel and band components, adding a sustainability-minded material choice to the collection.
The Luxe Black 2100 shows how G-SHOCK can evolve its visual language without compromising what made the 2100 recognizable in the first place.
