MANILA, Philippines – For workers whose earnings fluctuate with projects, customer demand, or business activity, access to credit can be an important consideration in managing day-to-day cash flow. PeraSure, a digital lending app operated by SEC-registered Sulit Lending Corporation, has officially launched in the Philippines with a lending model that includes revolving credit for eligible borrowers.
The platform is designed to accommodate different employment and income arrangements, including those of salaried employees, gig workers, and micro-entrepreneurs. According to the Philippine Statistics Authority, approximately 9.9 million Filipinos work in gig or informal roles, representing roughly 22% of the country’s 44 million employed workers.
Many people in these arrangements may not have conventional payslips or employer-issued documents, which can make standard credit assessments more difficult to navigate. PeraSure aims to reduce paperwork by allowing eligible users to apply with a government-issued ID and basic employment or income information.
“Many hardworking Filipinos earn a living outside a regular payroll, yet lending has long been built around payslips,” PeraSure noted. “We want borrowers to see exactly what they will pay, within the SEC’s limits, before they confirm a loan.”
The app provides a full rate breakdown, applicable fees, and the total repayment amount upfront so applicants can review the cost before confirming a loan.
Its launch coincides with the implementation of updated lending limits under SEC Memorandum Circular No. 14, Series of 2025. Effective April 1, 2026, the combined interest and fees on qualifying small loans are capped at 12% per month, down from the previous 15% monthly ceiling.
PeraSure charges a daily interest rate as low as 0.10%, below the updated ceiling. Eligible borrowers can access loans of up to ₱50,000, with repayment terms ranging from 30 to 180 days based on individual credit evaluations.
Unlike a model that requires borrowers to start the application process from scratch each time, PeraSure’s revolving credit arrangement allows eligible users to draw on an approved credit line over time. Their credit limits may grow as their repayment records develop.
The model is intended to provide a continuing credit option for eligible borrowers while addressing the everyday cash-flow needs of people with different sources of income.
The PeraSure app is available to download on Google Play.
